Lappet Weave : Lappet is a fabric in which figure is achieved by introducing extra warp threads into a base that is normally plain. Swivel Weave: Swivel is a fabric in which figure is achieved by introducing extra weft threads into a base fabric to produce spot effect.

Difference between Lappet and Swivel Design The essential difference between a lappet and swivel design is that, -In the swivel the design is done with extra weft y arns,which are cut-off short at the end of each design. -In lappet the design are made of one continuous yarn and are not clipped.
