Through my science research project I aimed to find out the differences between
equine and human monocular and binocular vision span. I went about investigating
this by measuring eyesight through the use of a chalk configuration, orange marker
and observing the horses eyes to determine the span of their vision. To determine
the human vision span I used a different method of verbal communication. From my
experiment I have discovered that horses do have a larger field of monocular vision
and a smaller area of binocular vision compared to human vision. These results

Whales (Cetacea) are unique among mammals in that they possess exceptionally
dense, pachyosteosclerotic tympanic bullae1. Along the margin of the bulla is a
highly mineralized, extremely dense wall of bone called the involucrum that serves
as a special adaptation to life in the sea and as a means to facilitate sound reception
and directionality underwater2,3,4. Moreover, this cetacean synapomorphy plays an
important role in distinguishing its members from the ancestral terrestrial
artiodactyls from which whales diverged5. When cut into cross sections, the
involucral region of the tympanic bullae in many mysticete (baleen whale) lineages
reveals three easily distinguishable zones of concentric laminar growth. Here we
hypothesize that these three distinct zones identified along the length of the tympanic
bullae are capable of recording life history events during early development, when the
cetacean tympanoperiotic region is known to be rapidly ossifying6. We propose that
the innermost zone (1) represents rapid in utero growth, the intermediary zone (2)
represents rapid birth and postnatal development, and the outermost zone (3),
markedly thinner, represents slower, more lamellar development from weaning on

What is Corruption?
Corruption can mean so many things and can be interpreted in countless ways but
in the most simplistic way of explaining what it is, it is the misuse of judgment, the
struggle between what is right and what is wrong. No one really knows what led to
corruption, but some say it was religious reasons that led to this malfeasance,
meaning the devil, while others believe different. People in today s society tend to
relate this topic to politics because it is most commonly occurs within that faction of
society. Corruption is a reoccurring theme throughout The Crucible, it shows through
the political, McCarthyism, religious and personal reasons of the Colonial Era. The
Crucible takes place in the early England colonies in Salem, Massachusetts during
what we know as the witch trials. It is based on a group of girls involved in witch
like activities, who begin to accuse others of committing witchcraft just so that they
do not get into trouble. One girl controls the group, Abigail Williams, and she plots
against Elizabeth Proctor who is married to John Proctor, who Abigail had an affair
with. Due to these childish and dramatic acts of Abigail and the girls, half the
townspeople were taken to trial and found guilty of witchery and worshipping the
devil and were sentenced to hang. Not till the end did the townspeople realize their
