I. INTRODUCTION Have you ever found yourself with sweaty hands on a first date or felt your heart pound during a scary movie? Then you know you can feel stress in both your mind and body. This automatic response developed in our ancient ancestors as a way to protect them from predators and other threats is called stress. Lesson 6.4 Stress Management
II. DEFINITION OF TERMS A. Stress is a response produced by the bod y when a person is subjected to different types of demand, whether physical, mental, or emotional. B. II. DEFINITION OF TERMS C . Causes of Stress Human Indecency and Pain - refers to the putting aside of personal feelings and dealings with criminals and their victims which is very challenging . STRESS MANAGEMENT STRATEGY At the end of the lesson, we were able to : - Discuss stress management as the early identification of operational response produced by the body when a person is subjected to different types of demand which increases the likelihood of positive outcomes in police-citizen interaction. - Discuss that long-term police stress can result to illness and it can even impair an officer’s mental health.
