Surah outline This surah is about Jewish tribe Bani Nadir Punishment faced by the Jews in this world, in the form of exile and in the hereafter in the form of torture. The highlight of this Surah is Asma al Husa

Cause of revelation When the Muslims migrated to Madinah Peace treaty with the Jews Banu Nadir – (Jewish tribe) lived around Madinah

Amr ibn Ummaayh Damuri ( muslim ) killed two people by mistake Muslim had to settle this – Prophet collected money from the Muslims and the Jews to pay the blood money.

He sent a message to Banu Nadir that they have gone against the treaty, they were given 10 days to leave otherwise they will be killed

Exile Eventually they left Madina

Historical background of Jewish tribes Decedents of Prophet Haroon (as) Forefather were scholars of the Torah which contained a full description of the final prophet and that he will migrate to Madinah They expected the prophet to come from the decedents of Haroon (as) They were jealous and did not accept the faith

Treaty with the Jews Prophet pbuh would not fight with them They will not fight with him pbuh They will not aid those who fight with the Muslims If Jews were attacked, Muslims would help them and vice versa. And other conditions

Treaty broke Treaty was obeyed until the battle of Uhud When they saw the Muslims were defeated Secretly started to conspire Many ways to kill the Prophet Even attempted it Allah protected the Prophet

01 Glorifies to Allah swt whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth and HE is the all Mighty the all Wise

HE IS MIGHTY AND WISE

Exile of Banu Nadir He is the One Who expelled the disbelievers of the People of the Book from their homes for ˹their˺ first banishment ˹ever˺. You never thought they would go. And they thought their strongholds would put them out of Allah’s reach. But ˹the decree of˺ Allah came upon them from where they never expected. And He cast horror into their hearts so they destroyed their houses with their own hands and the hands of the believers. So take a lesson ˹from this˺, O  people of insight!

Allah came upon them from where they never expected All credit goes to Allah swt Muslims thought they will not leave. No one came to help them. Allah swt cast horror in their heart. They destroyed their own homes before leaving.

Verse 3

Had Allah not decreed exile for them, He would have certainly punished them in this world. And in the Hereafter they will suffer the punishment of the Fire.  Allah decreed that the Jews would be punished in the life of this world and face the torment of the fire of Hell He prepared for them in the Hereafter.

Verse 4

This is because they rebelled against Allah and His Messenger. And whoever rebelled against Allah, then Allah is truly severe in punishment.  Allah prepared this specific punishment and sent His Messenger and his Companions against them, because they defied Allah and His Messenger and denied the good news that Allah sent forth in the Books of previous Messengers regarding the coming of Muhammad ﷺ. The Jews knew these facts about Muhammad ﷺ just as they knew their own children

Tadabbur What does Glorifying Allah swt means. In first verse Allah swt said HE is ALL MIGHT and ALL WISE, why might with wisdom is important? What lesson we leart in exile of Banu Nadir . What does opposing Allah swt means.
