Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur Surat Al-Qariah Created By: Banan Mahmaljy-obeid
The Loud Beating The Day of Judgment has many names and here Allah is using the name Al- Qariah to describe it He mentions this word 3 times in a row Qariah is a word that means a loud sound that’s made when you hit something really hard– it’s a disturbing sound that scares you.
What Loud Beating? This grabs the listeners’ attention! It’s a natural reaction to be curious whe n you hear a word or statement called out. If someone yells “FIRE”, you might ask: “What fire?” If someone yells “Storm”, you might ask: “What storm?”
What can you ever know about the Loud Beating? Allah answers in a mysterious way as if to tell us the Qariah is something we will never fully understand. It is something we can’t imagine. We know it’s going to be scary, but we have no clue just how scary.
The day people will be like scattered moths Allah gives us a brief description of what this day will be like. He starts with human beings and compares them to moths flying around. Months have no sense of direction, they just fly around and follow each other and fly randomly, aimlessly. They are easily attracted to fire and sometimes will fly right into it. On this day people will be so scared, they’ll run around in different directions.
And the mountains will turn into torn wool On this day, the mountains, which are the heaviest things on Earth , become weightless. Anything that has strength now, will lose its strength on that day: P eople will have no power, money will be useless, family will not care about you. The reality of this day changes everything…everything is reversed .
As for the ones whose scales become heavy BAD THINGS: You may say something hurtful, or make a face at someone, and think it has no weight . You think it’s not a big deal, b ut on the Day of Judgment the things you thought were insignificant W ill be HEAVY on the scale of sins . GOOD THINGS : You may have smiled at someone or said a nice word and thought it was no big deal . N obody praised you for it, and even YOU forgot about it. Will be HEAVY on the scale of good deeds. This Ayah teaches us that the way things are measured on Earth today are not necessarily how Allah weighs them. Today people value degrees, money, brand names & beauty . T hey may not value kindness, sincerity & honesty . But on the Day of Judgment, Allah will own the scales and he decides the weight of everything . On this day, Allah will weigh our DEEDS. His scale is different than the scale of this life.
Then he is in a satisfactory life The one who does good deeds will live a life of peace. When you live the way Allah wants, you will feel at rest. You don’t have to compare yourself to others. You don’t have to look at what other people have and feel jealous. Then in the next life, you will have Jenna, which is eternal happiness. This Ayah is saying you will have happiness both NOW & THEN .
As for the one whose scales are light Every deed is counted, no matter how small, but s ome people will not have any good deeds to place on the scale. They will only have bad deeds. Many people will come on the Day of Judgment with mountains and mountains of good deeds. Then, one at a time, people will come take from their deeds until they have nothing left. WHY??? Because they used to backbite others or were mean to them, so now they will take their good deeds as a form of justice.
He will be thrown into Jahannam head-first His new protector will be Jahannam In Arabic, Umm has 2 meanings: H ead & M other Umm is something that protects: 1 . The head protects the brain within it - protecting life. 2 . The mother protects the child inside her. When Arabs would refer to a calamity, they used to say your UMM is Hawiya Meaning: the thing that happened to you is so bad, your mom will collapse when she hears about it.
