INTRODUCTION SWAYAM ( Study Webs of Active-Learning for Young Aspiring Minds ) Swayam is an unique and World’s Largest Online E-Learning Platform in India which is indigenously developed by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD ), Government of India and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) with the help of Microsoft Corporation India (Pvt.) Ltd. It is designed to achieve the three cardinal principles of Education Policy viz., access, equity and quality. Launched in  9 th  July,  2017 by the ex- President of India Shri Pranab Mukherjee. Started with its  digital educational television channels Swayam Prabha (24*7). SWAYAM is a Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) initiative. Objectives of swayam Major objectives of the proposal are as follows; Creation of content on courses from School Secondary level till Post Graduation, covering all disciplines, to be made available on the SWAYAM platform. Repurposing of e-content courses already developed under NMEICT to fit into SWAYAM Pedagogy /Andragogy. Develop India MOOCs platform named as SWAYAM (Study Webs of Active learning for Young Aspiring Minds) for hosting and running thousands of courses simultaneously. Provide robust Internet Cloud (with CDN) and sufficient bandwidth for concurrent viewings of 1 Million users. C onduct of examination and award of certificates to participants having successfully completed the course. Provide recommendations to Institutions regarding implementation of Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) on SWAYAM Courses.

VISION OF SWAYAM To host more than 10000 online courses through SWAYAM platform for 30 million learners/students starting from 9th class till post-graduation. To improve gross enrolment ratio (GER), from 20% at present to 30% by 2020 . Swayam wants to bring all the educators and leaders into a unique platform . To create awareness about digital education system in India.

“ FOUR QUADRANT APPROACH ” (Video lecture)e-Tutorials containing Video and Audio Contents in an organized form, Animation, Simulations, Virtual Labs; e-Contents, like, PDF/e-books/illustration, video demonstrations, documents and interactive simulations, wherever required; Web Resources containing related links, open content on internet, case studies, anecdotal information, historical development of the subject, Articles; Self-assessment containing MCQ, Problems Quizzes, Assignments and Solutions, Discussion forum topics and setting up the FAQ, Clarifications on general misconceptions .

Features Of Swayam Thousands of massive open online courses available by best teachers from top institutions. Any one, any time, any where (AAA) can learn through mobile or laptop absolutely free. One stop web location for interactive e content for all courses from higher secondary to university level. Peer group interaction and discussion forum to clarify doubts. It provides 2000 courses and 8000 hours of learning.

CHALLENGES Assessment : Currently only possible way to assess the progress of learner or students is MCQs based. MOOCs demand digital literacy: To train the instructor will be the biggest challenge Certification : Certification will also be the other challenge. Weather the learner is able to get admission or job on the basis of such certifications. Real time answering during lecture: Real time answering the questions is also not possible during the lecture session as these will be pre recorded Economics conditions of Rural areas

Go to and click "register as student" to register yourself. Your name, email id are essential information for registration process on swayam platform. Fill all the details to enrolment. Click on sign up.

CONCLUSION From the above points it seems that ICT playing a major role in education for enhancing learning.IN the present context, learner will be able to get quality teaching from the top institutions experienced teacher. AT last it is clear to say that its a very good initiative by Govt. Of India to provide moocs for the solutions of Distance learner .
