CRITERIA FOR EVALUATION - Evaluative tool/instrument should be measurable. -Should relate to important teaching skill. -Be as objective as possible. -Should be clearly communicated to the teacher before the evaluation. -Should be linked to the teacher’s professional growth .

- A pre conference and post conference should be held. -All observations should be documented, reviewed and signed by the evaluator and the teacher. -Teacher should be provide opportunity to place written comments on the evaluation form.

TECHNIQUE OF SELF EVALUATION FIRST METHOD 1.THE TEACHER IS ASKED TO GIVE A LECTURE ON A GIVEN SUBJECT 2.A SUPERVISOR SITS IN THE CLASS AND LISTEN TO THE LECTURE AND MAKES RUNNING NOTES ON WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THE CLASS AND THEN REPORTS HIS/HER OBSERVATIONS. 3.AFTER THE LECTURE IS OVER THE TEACHER IS ASKED TO WRITE NOTES ON HIS/HER LECTURE. 4.THEN THE SUPERVISOR AND THE TEACHER COMPARE THEIR OBSERVATION AND DISCUSS ON GOOD AND BAD POINT.

SECOND METHOD 1.THE EVALUATION FORM IS GIVEN TO BOTH THE TEACHER AND SUPERVISOR. 2.THE TEACHER IS ASKED TO GIVE LECTURE ON A GIVEN SUBJECT 3.THE SUPERVISOR SITS IN THE CLASS DURING LECTURE AND COMPLETES EVALUATION FORMS ACCORDING TO INSTRUCTIONS 4.THE TEACHER FILLS HIS/HER EVALUATION FORM AFTER FINISHING THE LECTURE. 5.BOTH THE EVALUATION FORMS AFTER COMPLETIONS ARE COMPARED AND POINTS DISCUSSED. 6.THE TEACHER TRIES TO UNDERSTAND HIS/HER MISTAKES AND CORRECT THEM AND IMPROVE HIS/HER TEACHING TECHNIQUES
