Notes and Rests A re musical symbols on a staff that designate when to play and when to not play. We use notes and rests to create a composition.
A symbol that describes the pitch and the duration of a sound. A note is composed of head, stem, flag or hook. Notes

A symbol that indicates silence and absence of sound. Every notes have their equivalent rests. Rests Rests give the performer time to relax or take a deep breath in a performance.
