B. Motivation The teacher will ask the students on how they greet their friends, teachers, parents and relatives. After they answered the given question, the teacher has a prepared scenarios written on the folded papers that the students will portray it and she will call one student to pick and find his/her partner that will help him/her to portray the activity. The rest of the class will be the audience and they will observe the way they talk to each other. III. PROCEDURE

The teacher will ask the students to underline the unusual words used and they will identify what kind of conversation is that? (Ex. When they are talking to your friend?) Afterwards, let the students to determine what is the meaning of formal and informal language based on the activity that they have done and the use of words on the conversation. PRESENTATION

Formal Language We use formal language when conducting business meetings, giving lectures or presenting proposals. Informal Language We use informal language in our personal conversations every day. It is often used when speech is improvised or is delivered without preparation. Pronunciation of words and phrases are often shortened and simplified(e.g. “I’m goin ” instead of I am going.”).

Ask the students the question, “How do they say that the conversation done in formal or informal way? Then, give examples.” Generalization

The teacher will group the students in three. Each group will dramatized the given situations and they will write a script about it using the formal and informal language. You have a failed grade in one of your subjects and you want to approach your teacher about it. You saw your friend bullying your unsociable classmates. What will you do?
