INTRODUCTION
DEFINITION:
❖Terpenoids are the volatile and aromatic substances
present in plants and giving them their characteristics
fragrance and odour.
❖Terpenoids have been defined as the hydrocarbons of the
plant origin of the general formula (C
5H
8)
n.as well as their
oxygenated, hydrogenated and dehydrogenated
derivatives.
