While attending the art exhibit titled Rock Paintings by Traci Stover, I came across two paintings that
truly evoked some type of feeling inside of me. Rocks are a part of everyday life, and normally, there
is nothing special about them. I was curious to see how the artist would display such an ordinary
object. After observing all of the paintings, they had two paintings in particular that caught my eye.
The paintings Octet and Anomaly are clearly as different as day and night, which makes them easy to
compare and contrast.
First, I studied the two thousand eleven painting Octet by Traci Stover. The medium used was acrylic

painting Octet , Anomaly contains smooth, precise, even lines, and the painting appears three
dimensional. The painting was so vivid that I felt I could reach into the painting and touch one of the
smooth rocks. The rocks appear to be river stones due to their appearance. The same colors were used
in this painting, but the colors were used differently. Light gray was used for the stones, and they were
outlined using a thin line of black. The painting had a white background, which caused the painting to
have a light and soft feel. The artist clearly paid attention to detaiI, because I was able to see the tiny
holes and small fractures in some of the rocks. I could imagine these rocks on a riverbank or in a

Every year our community raises thousands of dollars for children and their families, who need it to
be able to fight medical issues. Duck week is a wonderful opportunity for the community to rise
together and strive for a shared cause. It is honestly amazing to see how everyone in the community

When performing my experiment I will come across various health and safety issues. One of them
would be spilling acid on my hand. To prevent this I will be using syringes to measure out the correct
amount of HCL. This will prevent any spillage of HCL. Also another heath and safety risk would be
having Na2S2O3 get into any open cuts I have. To prevent this I will cover all open cuts I have.
Moreover there is a chance that when reacting HCL with Na2S2O3 the gases produced could get in
my eye and cause my eye to become irritant. So to prevent this I will wear safety goggles so the gases
produces can not get into me eyes.
When I conduct my experiment I think that as the concentration of HCL increases. The time taken for
the HCL to react with Na2S2O3 will increase. I think this will happen because of the collision theory
(1) the more collisions in a system, the more likely combinations of molecules will happen. This helps
understand that if we increase the concentration of HCL then the more likely there will be
combination of molecules hitting each other at a faster rate meaning that if there are more collisions of
molecules this would speed up a reaction by every molar the HCL goes up by.

Over the past weeks I have been adding sounds to a moving image clip. Research of the science
behind sound and of professional sound recordist would be key, anything from microphone techniques
to personal safety would need to be taken into account on the recording side, whereas an
understanding of the software and tools within it would be needed for the sequencing.
Throughout history sound has been used to help convey a story. As early as the 1900 s, without today s
technology, movies would often be accompanied by a soundtrack played on a piano or record players.
In 1927 The Jazz singer was released, a warner bros movie that featured music and dialog on the

Dialog was the first sound recorded, there was quite a lot of dialog involved and it would need to be
recorded at the right level as it will be the loudest part of the sequence. When recording vocals I set up
the microphone appropriately, this meant positioning the microphone at roughly the same height as my
chin. The microphone also needed to be close to my mouth, if I was too far away it wouldn t be loud
enough meaning the volume would have to be amplified which would also amplify all the unwanted
noises around. A pop filter was also used, I simply moved it into the correct position before saying my
lines. A pop filter is used to stop the popping noise that can be accompanied by saying certain letters
such as p. Once the microphone was set up the lines were recorded, this was helped by having a TV
playing the video so I could get my timings perfected. One issue that did occur was putting the
emotion into certain sections, I found this hard at first as the recordings came out stale with no feeling.
To fix this I redid the dialog a few times and tried to treat it more as acting than speaking. The final
sections of dialog came out much better than the previous but there is still clear room for improvement

love? Most goddesses are symbolized by and associated with fertility and marriage but very few with
power and war. Although there are many Greek goddesses, Hera, Demeter, and Aphrodite are three of
the most important.
Hera is the wife of Zeus. She is the goddess of women and marriage and also known as the most
matron goddess. Hera considered the lion, the cow, and the peacock scared. She is often portrayed as
majestic and solemn. A pomegranate is the symbol of fertile blood and death, Hera is often shown

My Experience At Tuskegee University
My experience began as early as college, when I used to volunteer with school going children in
orphanages, and would advise them on the social problems they faced in school. That is when I
decided that being a school counselor was the perfect job for me. Having started at an early age, I find
that my expertise does in fact lie in helping students deal with social pressure, and helping them cope
with the stress and frustration it brings. I have also been successfully able to help students improve
their self esteem by making them focus on past successes, so that they may be able to garner the
strength for future aspirations. I don t think age has any role to play when it comes to warming up to
students. As long as they can find a mentor, a guide and trust in someone, they are likely to open up to
them.
As I started my college career at Tuskegee University, where I double majored in psychology and
English. I was passionate about creating social awareness and helping people, but I was unsure what
career I was interested in after graduation. I thought about attending graduate school for Counseling
Psychology, but I just was not sure about it. I spoke to a professor in the Counselor Education program
at Georgia State University and discussed my interests with her. She suggested I look for a program
accredited by Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP)
School Counseling. I enrolled in the School Counseling program at Clark Atlanta
