Texture in music

This presentation is all about the one element of the music namely texture.

4. Monophonic Mono means one. One layer one melody.

5. Homophonic Homo means same. Harmony is added on melody One layer grabs your attention, and the other layer is just hanging out in the background.

6. Polyphonic Poly means many. two totally separate melodies. occurring simultaneously. a piece of music has multiple independent layers happening at the same time.

7. Heterophonic Hetero means different. It occurs when there are two or more versions of the same melody happening at the same time.
