The High Court appointed five-member historian expert committee has ruled out a myth. The
secret report which was submitted by the committee before the Court on Nov 11, 2002 was
read in public by the Hon'ble Chief Justice Sri A.K Mathur and his division bench comprising of
Hon'ble Justice Sri Jayanta Kumar Biswas on Jan 31 st , 2003. On 16th May, the Hon'ble High
Court delivered a historical judgement in the Public Interest Litigation case involving a
renowned family against the State of West Bengal. The court dismissed the myth and the
West Bengal Government announced it would cease to follow the baseless history, pledging to
amend all documents where it appears. Truth always prevails.

aware of these developments.

from Berlin at the end of World War II in Europe, ostensibly by faking his death instead of committing
suicide in Berlin in 1945.
The show was conceived after the 2010s declassification of documents related to official
investigations of this possibility. The series explores how X might have escaped, where he might have
gone, and whether he plotted a Fourth Reich. The series ran for three seasons between 2015 and 2018,
followed by a two-hour special in 2020.

The X man was an unidentified man whose body was found on 1 December 1948 on the beach at a
suburb of Adelaide, South Australia. The case is also known by the Persian phrase _____ ____, meaning
"It is over" or "It is finished", which was printed on a scrap of paper found months later in the fob
pocket of the man's trousers.
The scrap had been torn from the final page of a copy of Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám, a poetry book.
Since the early stages of the police investigation, the case has been considered "one of Australia's most
profound mysteries".
The first part of the phrase refers to a persian word which means, "Over" or "Finished" while the
second part is a Bengali financial term which is haram in Islam.
