Imagine a traveler on a long
road without a map. They
walk endlessly, unsure
where they are headed.
Now imagine another
traveler with a clear map
and destination. Every step
is filled with confidence
and direction.
This is the difference
between living without
purpose and living with
purpose.
What is your why?
Life Purpose
Challenges Resilience
Success
Purpose is the 'why' behind your
actions, the deeper meaning that
fuels everything you do.
I wrote the book „Marriage as a
Sanctuary‟ because of the high
rate of divorce in my community.
I understood that people do not
have a „why‟ to getting into
marriage, and most times when
their expected fantasies fades
away, that is when they realize
that there is nothing to fight for,
evidently they take the available
door out of the marriage.
My purpose for writing the
book was to ensure that
people have a strong reason
for getting married and they
understand that at some point
they need to protect it).
It is not just about goals or
ambitions; it is about
alignment with values and
vision.
“He who has a why to live
can bear almost any how.” —
Friedrich Nietzsche.
When you have a strong why, the places you go to, the people
you speak to, what you read and even what you eat will be
strategically/intentionally selected.
If you want to become a billionaire in few years, you will start
thinking about how to attract billionaires in your life, where to
go to find them, even the types of restaurant you go to will be
psychologically defined.
The thought you share even on social media and the content
you consumed are always shaped by a strong purpose.
Everything mentioned above says a lot about who you are,
even before you have the opportunity to introduce yourself.
And that is purpose at work.
Knowing I will not live forever, and I may be
forgotten like I never existed, led me into
writing articles on national & global issues,
publishing books, personal/professional
coaching etc.,
I don‟t want to leave this earth, like I was never
here, this is my why,
Do you have a why between winning and
failing or even building a legacy?
When you leave the surface of this earth, what
do you want to be remembered for?
Having these thought makes you intentional
about living life intentionally, connecting with
great minds, building systems that elevate
lives, which transcends into building a legacy.
Purpose anchors
decision-making and
prevents distractions.
It builds resilience
when life gets tough.
It enhances
productivity and
fulfillment.
Most importantly, it
creates a legacy
beyond material
success.
(Story about Credit-In-
Jannah)
A person with a strong purpose lives in clarity, they
are predictive, they are attractive, they are bold,
courageous, comfortable, decisive, goal-driven,
result oriented, pays attention to details, competitive
and approachable.
Research shows that people who live with purpose enjoy longer,
healthier lives.
Psychology links purpose to motivation, resilience, and mental
clarity.
Workplace studies reveal that purpose-driven employees perform
better and inspire others.
As a communication consultant, my journey has been shaped by purpose.
From writing and editing to public speaking and mentoring, purpose gave me
direction.
Every platform I step on is guided by one question: How can my work
improve lives and empower others?
As someone who is connected to over 200,000 people on several social
platforms, my aims is to ensure that people gain value from connecting with me.
I also ensure my employers gain value for believing in me.
Now you, what exactly is your „why‟ for the things you do, your choice of
profession, your choice of spouse, or even of the person you are becoming.
(In 2 minutes, tell us about a journey where your purpose made a bold statement)
Purpose is not invented; it is discovered
through reflection.
Even while on a journey with a strong „why‟
without reflections, it leads to distractions.
You need to build systems that keeps you in
check, reminds you of your purpose and
motivates you when you no longer can find the
strength to keep going.
These system could be purpose-driven friends
& families, mentors, coaches, business
partners etc.
You also need to ask yourself:
What makes me come alive?
What problems do I feel called to solve?
What legacy do I want to leave behind?
WHY
•Is your why ever
enough?
How
•How do you
ensure it is?
When
•When to seek
for help
Fear and self-doubt often hold us back.
Societal pressures can push us toward paths
that are not truly ours.
Distractions and lack of clarity cloud our
vision.
But these barriers can be overcome with
courage, reflection, and resilience.
Purpose is not only found in grand missions; it shows up in daily
decisions.
In career: choosing paths aligned with your values.
In relationships: investing in meaningful connections.
In service: contributing to causes greater than yourself.
Even micro habits can reflect your purpose.
Nelson Mandela lived with the purpose of
justice and freedom.
Malala Yousafzai embodies the purpose of
education and empowerment.
Everyday people also inspire: parents, teachers,
mentors.
Purpose creates ripple effects that impact
generations.
Vision boards and journaling help keep focus.
(Write down your dreams and make it clear).
Accountability partners and mentors provide
encouragement.
(Create a circle that understands your vision)
Continuous learning ensures growth.
(Be open to mentorship)
Like a compass, these tools help you stay
aligned with your purpose.
Reflect: If I had only one year to live,
what would matter most to me?
Write down one purposeful action you
will take after this webinar.
Purpose starts with one intentional
decision today.
Purpose defines who we are, directs where we
go, and drives how we live.
Clarity plus consistency equals visibility and
impact.
Thank you for being part of this session. Let‟s
open the floor to your reflections and
questions.
