Assessment and testing The students' attitudes are negative and it is due to the idea and fear of failure. But it is important for teachers to carry out tests to check whether students are acquiring knowledge or not. That is, tests are part of learning that contributes to your knowledge.

Assessment and testing Evaluation is a tool to evaluate students, it is a series of actions to measure the student's responses by the teacher. On the other hand, the test is an evaluation method that informs teachers about the students' skills and knowledge.

Types of evaluation Informal: Individual way of measuring progress without any qualifications . Formal: Gives teachers information about how much students learned during the year

Types of evaluation Formative: Helps identify weaknesses and strengths and learning gaps Summative: Provides a score and formally evaluates knowledge and success at the end of a period

Types and purposes of assessment Achievement tests : Measures the ability of the students, it can be formative or summative. Diagnostic tests : Determine what skills should be developed during the year. Placement test: places the student at the correct level of the program or curriculum.
