Characteristics of Good Language Teacher Friendly, explains things, gives good notes, lets students do things by themselves, gives group activities, elicits things which the students know, plays games , tells jokes , doesn’t push weak learners, she’s like an actress, asks students opinion, forceful but not strict, knows psychology, uses movements to make meanings clear, makes students believe in themselves, experienced, makes grammar clear, uses questions a lot and asks students to do practical work.

Traits of a Bad Language Teacher Very strict, doesn’t let students speak, gives tests all the time, she is fixed in a chair , dominates , forces students to do things , starts the lesson immediately , shouts when students make mistakes, keeps on talking, treats students like objects, avoids answering questions and she emphasizes she is the teacher
