LEARNING STYLES

TABLE OF CONTENTS STARTING OFF LEARNING WITH EACH LEARNING STYLE 01 DIFFERENT WAYS OF LEARNING 02 03 CONCLUSIONS 04

STARTING OFF 01

WHAT ARE LEARNING STYLES? Learning styles are cognitive and physiological features which students use as a means of interaction within learning processes. These styles are related with a series of personal characteristics for each individual which are gradually developed through growth.

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LEARNING STYLES AND PERSONAL TRAITS ACTIVE STYLE REFLECTIVE STYLE THEORETICAL STYLE PRAGMATIC STYLE 01 02 03 04

ACTIVE STYLE Students who identify with active learning : They are interested in new teaching experiences . They enjoy learning new tasks or activities that drive forward their skills.

REFLECTIVE STYLE It is associated with individuals who: Prefer to evaluate situations from different points of view. Are usually efficient at data analysis to reflect in the event of decision making.

THEORETICAL STYLE The people who use this method as their basis are: Perfectionists and rational. These students afford great importance to systematic learning to understand each part of the process.

PRAGMATIC STYLE They are characterised by being: Practical students who need to verify their knowledge. They guide their educational learnings towards conflict resolution and the quest for effective answers .

WAYS OF LEARNING 02

HOW WE REPRESENT INFORMATION HOW WE PROCESS INFORMATION HOW WE FACE A TASK LEARNING STYLES IN LINE WITH:

WHAT ARE THE LEARNING STYLES? VISUAL AUDITORY KINAESTHETIC These educational conditions are used so that educators can adapt their teaching method to facilitate interaction and the response of each student.

VISUAL LEARNING The visual representation system is usually the dominant one Images and videos are related with ideas or concepts of the academic contents. Students who are characterised by this system develop their visual memory as a way of remembering and learning. This system is linked both to the capacity for abstraction and planning. They are recognised as people who are observant , have an inclination towards artistic expressions and find it hard to retain verbal information.

AUDITORY LEARNING They tend to remember more easily academic lessons which are carried out with verbal explanations .  The auditory style does not allow concepts to be related like the visual system, nevertheless, it is vital in the learning process for music and languages . Students who use their auditory sense pay more attention to what the teacher is saying and they learn better when they participate in conferences or presentations .

KINAESTHETIC LEARNING This is teaching associated with sensations or movements , in other words, the capacity to learn while touching or carrying out an experiment. Although this system is slower than the visual and auditory process, kinaesthetic learning usually generates long-lasting, deep knowledge over time. To incentivise this style, it is important to implement laboratory practices, educational games or the creation of scale models. In this way, students learn to put their creativity into practice .

CONCLUSIONS 04

CONCLUSIONS 1 Learning styles demonstrate that people learn differently. The majority of students are not limited to one system. As educators, it is important to determine different ways of learning. 2 In view of the fact that many people have combinations of these factors to manage to take in educational content, the challenge is to offer enriching approaches that guarantee educational quality. 3 Virtual education is an alternative in order to adapt and make more flexible the presentation of these contents to the specific needs of each student.
