candidates for positions like Deputy Collector, DSP, Assistant Commissioner, Deputy Registrar,

TNPSC Group 1 Prelims examination consists of 200 questions, each carries 1.5 marks totaling
300 marks. Candidates must get qualified in Prelims exam to be eligible for Mains exam. It can
be divided into two broad groups:
