Objectives : To present the different educational methods in triage training . To identify the most effective methods for triage training of triage nurses.
Q. How did the researcher apply these different educational methods strategies in his research?
T r i a g e. The process of categorizing, sorting out of the injuries according to the severity of multiple victims in p andemic , b attlefiel d or m ass-causalit y situation to prioritize the urgency of treatment.
Purpose / Principle: Ensure proper initial medical treatment ( right patient , right time , right practitioners ). Avoid misusing and wasting resources and time on unrecoverable or hopeless cases. Decrease mortalit y and morbidit y.
Tool , Approach and Period ( A B C D E ) approach is used : A - A irway maintenance with cervical spine protection B - B reathing and ventilation C - C irculation with hemorrhage control D - D isability /Deformity : neurologic status E - E xposure /Eye responses T. = 2-5 minutes
