FORMAL COMMUNITY are established by organizations to achieve some specific objectives.
CHARACTERISTIC OF A FORMAL SECTOR Well defined rules and regulations. Determined objectives and policies. Status symbol. Limitation on the activities of the individual. Strict observance of the principle of coordination. Messages are communicated through scalar chain. It is to best attain the objectives of the enterprise.
INFORMAL COMMUNITY
INFORMAL COMMUNITY are formed by the members of such groups by themselves. They emerge naturally, in response to the common interests of organizational members.
CHARACTERISTICS OF INFORMAL COMMUNITY evolving constantly. grass roots. dynamic and responsive. excellent at motivation. requires insider knowledge to be seen. treats people as individuals like. flat and fluid. cohered by trust and reciprocity.
INFORMAL The groups that are formed by the employees themselves as per their likes and prejudices. the informal groups are established voluntarily. The groups formed by the management of the organization for accomplishing a specific task. The formal groups are deliberately created by the organization, FORMAL
INFORMAL every member is as important as any other member. c. The formal groups are big in size. the position of a member defines its importance in the group, FORMAL
RURAL COMMUNITY consist of agricultural lands, also referred to as pre-industrial communities. A community away from the city with a lot of open space and natural areas Rural community is an area which is under development and not civilized, based on geographical conditions.
CHARACTERISTIC OF RURAL COMMUNITY Rural area is sparsely populated because many people leave rural areas and settle in the urban areas for more facilities. This society has homogeneity. in its profession that is their only source of earning is agriculture and this is transmitted from generation to generation.
CHARACTERISTIC OF RURAL COMMUNITY There is homogeneity in dress, language, and customs. It means all these remain the same because their culture is same, they belong to the same area. These areas have got slow means of communication. Rural areas have very slow rate of change because of lack of education and modern technology.
URBAN COMMUNITY
URBAN COMMUNITY; pertains to highly industrialize communities. In a city with not much open space and natural areas Urban community is an area which is developed and civilized, based on geographical conditions.

Have got fast means of communication that is they Gets aware of what is happening around the world rapidly. The areas have got a fast rate of change because of education and modern technology.
