CONTEXT AND RATIONALE A prevalent challenge encountered by students in their fundamental knowledge is their ease in adding and subtracting positive integers, contrasted with their struggles when dealing with numbers featuring different signs, particularly in the operations of multiplication and division involving integers ( Viduy , 2019).
