Write down one random noun in a slip of paper.

Choose your partner. Pull out one random slips. Look for all the ways that these two nouns are similar.

Example: CAT & COMPUTER both start with the letter C both have a T in them both need electricity to operate people purchase both both can be broken both can give the owner pleasure both can die both hate water you can donate both to charity both can be purchased at a store you could kick both of them (but you should NOT) etc..

Understanding Simile and Metaphor

Simile A figure of speech that shows a comparison of two unlike things, objects, or persons using “like” or “as”.

Simile Examples: Paolo wants to have an arm as hard as a rock. He developed muscles as big as an egg.
