Situations Discussing In pair, discuss these views of the teachers concerning Reading comprehension.

1 I have limited time to cover the overloaded syllabus. I focus on teaching to the exams mainly at the second year Baccalaureate, and make sure that learners really understand the material at hand and score well in the exams.

2 My students still struggle with understanding basic vocabulary, and I am afraid that if I throw in critical thinking, they’ll get overwhelmed and regress.

3 I've always taught reading comprehension using exercises targeting teaching students how to skim and scan, and make inferences.

Situation Analysis In pair, Identify the nature of the problems.
