LIST OF QUALIFICATIONS AND DURATION OF THE COURSES Post-graduate diploma Courses 02 Year The period of training, including the period of examination also Medical colleges/institutions may apply (MARB) for converting Diploma seats to degree seats. No more new applications for permission to start or increase in number of diploma seats.

Requirement for PG students will do at least one of the following to make eligible to appear in final examination: Poster presentation at a National/Zonal/State conference of his/her specialty ; Podium presentation at a National/Zonal/State conference of his/her specialty Have one research paper published/accepte d for publication in journal of his/her specialty as first author
Requirement for PG students Online course in Research Methodology (BCBR) in the first year Good Clinical Practices and Good Laboratory Practices in the first year Basic Cardiac Life Support & Advanced Cardiac Life Support in the first year DISTRICT RESIDENCY PROGRAMME 03 Months (50 bedded hospital) 3 rd or 4th or 5th semester Desirable to exposure to medical audit, medical law, exposure to human behavior studies, finance, accounts
Leave Rules for Post-graduate minimum 20 days of paid leave (casual leave) per year one weekly holiday Academic paid leave of 5 days per year Female post-graduate students-maternity leave as per govt rules Male post-graduate students -paternity leave as per govt rules If candidate avails leave in excess of the permitted number of days, his/her term of course shall be extended by the same number of days to complete the training period. However, one shall be able to appear in the examination if one has 80% (eighty per cent) of the attendance .
EXAMINATIONS For both Formative & Summative Assessment Theory, Clinical/Practical and Viva Voce. University – gap between two not less than 04 and more than 08 months . Examiners: 03 years as PG teacher Min 04 examiners 02 internal and 02 external among external 01 should from out of state. Appointment of examiner Not more than 02 consecutive year regular examination .

CRITERIA FOR THEORY EVALUATION PG teachers of the other colleges of the concerned University or other Universities two valuations average of the total marks awarded by the two valuators for the paper difference between two valuations is 15% and more subjected to third valuation average of the best two total marks, awarded by the three evaluator for final result Revaluation/ Reassement is permitted after result declaration
Marks for Degree University Passing criteria: not less than 50 % include as below 1. Theory paper: 50% aggregate ( each paper not less than 40 %) 2. Practical and viva voice : 50 % If any candidate fails even under one head, he/she has to re-appear for both Theory and Practical/Clinical and Viva voce examination. Viva Voice in Degree : 5 % thesis mark ( 20 marks) in viva of practical External examiner evaluate thesis and take viva –marks will be given on Quality of thesis and its viva No GRACING ALLOWED PG degree Theory 400 Practical 400 (300 for practical and 100 for Viva) PG Diploma Theory 300 Practical 400 (300 for practical and 100 for Viva)
