Meaning of a test A formal and systematic instrument ,usually paper and pencil procedure designed to assess the quality ,ability ,skill or knowledge of the students by giving a set of questions in uniform manner .
One of the many type of assessment procedures used to gather information about the performance.

Criteria of an effective tool There is a set criteria for measuring the effectiveness of a tool/test. If we want to check the effectiveness of a test we have to check its ;
Validity.
Reliability.
Objectivity.
Usability. Scorability .
Etc...

Meaning of usability Usability is a method or process we use to determine how easy something is to identify ,comprehend ,and ultimately use .                                           Or   The fact of something being easy to use or the degree to which it is easy to use.  'Cambridge Dictionary'                                                                           Or Ease of administering ,ease of intrepretation,usage of scores ,economical,comprehensiveness.

Determinant of usability ( usability testing) There are many tools available to determine the usability of something. The most fundamental, and effective, is usability testing. In this process, you take a group of typical users of the item, ask them to perform a series of normal operations with the item, and observe the results of those operations.The results allow the evaluator to determine the usability.

Five attributes of usability... Learnability - describes how quickly something can be understood and put to use. Efficiency - describes how quickly something can be used once understanding is achieved. Memorability - describes how easily something can be put down, then picked up and used after some time has passed. Errors - describes how often errors are created during use, and how quickly the user can recover from them. Satisfaction - describes how pleasing something is to use.

Objectives of usability testing.... Determine whether testers can complete tasks successfully and independently.
Assess their performance and mental state as they try to complete tasks, to see how well your design works.
See how much users enjoy using it
Identify problems and their severity.
Find solutions.

Seven pillars of usability.... Useful. Usable. Findable . Credible . Desirable . Assessable . Valuable .
