We use present progressive to talk about actions happening now. It’s for temporary situations, changing/developing situations or ongoing habits. Key words: Habits, routine, facts Key words: Actions happening now, near future, developing situations Examples (write one yourselves!): The blue whale is the heaviest animal in the world. Before school, I eat breakfast and take a shower. NEGATIVE: It isn’t funny. / He doesn’t like chocolate. QUESTION: Is the dog small? / Does she wear heels? Examples (write one yourselves!): I’m living with my mom until I find a place. NEGATIVE: She isn’t teaching a Math lesson. QUESTION: Are you reading a great book at the moment?

PRESENT SIMPLE STRUCTURE How do you use it? SUBJECT (I, you, she, he, it, we, they) + VERB TO BE OR SUBJECT (I, you, we, they) + VERB (infinitive form) OR SUBJECT (She, he, it) + VERB (infinitive form) + -s I ’m an English teacher. We study every day. The restaurant open s at 10 o’clock.

Negative: I ’m not coming next friday. Interrogative: Are you sing ing tonight? Short Answers: Yes, I am. / No, I’m not
