AN EXCLUSIVE
PRESENTATION BY
FAQUEER HATHIB KK

Dr. Albert
Banduaraused
to deal with
Patients who got with
Some sort of abnormal fear of
snakes. During his treatment
of such patients, he came to
observe that the new patients
seemed to get some relief
from their fear of snakes on
seeing the older patients,
playing with snakes

He Conducted
Another Experiment
with BoboDolls. He
Brought Some
Children into a Room
and Made them
Watch a Video in
which a Woman
Kicks and Beats a
Bobo Doll

Then He Brought the
Children into an
Empty Room where
a Bobo Doll had
been Placed, and
Observed What was
Happening there. He
Saw that the
Children Started
kicking and Beating
the Doll

As a Result, He
Introduced a New
Learning Theory Called
Vicarious Learning
theory or Social
Learning Theory or
Observational Learning
Theory

It is a Learning Theory
Introduced by Dr.
Albert Bandura, which
States that Learning
Occurs Through
Observation of the
Behavior of the People
Around or Those
whom One Happens to
Watch

Banduara’sTheory is Similar
to ‘Classical Conditioning
Theory’ of Pavlov and
‘ Operant Conditioning
Theory’ of Thorndike. But
Unlike them, Bandura
Believed that it is not a
Mechanical Imitation, but It
is a Cognitive Function. So He
Added Something Called
Mediation Process

➢Attention
➢Retention
➢Reproduction
➢Motivation

Though We Happen
to See Tens of People
Every Day, Only a Few
Attract Our Attention
with Their Exclusive
Manners and
Dealings

And Among the
People who Attract
Our Attention, Only
one or Two Will be
Remaining in Our
Mind

Here Comes the
Capacity to Perform
the Manners of the
Person Whom We
Have Accepted as a
Model.

The Manner is
Strengthened and Made a
Habit, if there is Positive
Reinforcement. Negative
Reinforcement will Cause
for Giving it Up

So in Short, Bandura
States that Learning
Occurs through
Modelling i.e. People
Learn by Trying to
Imitate the Manners of
Some other People
whom They Accept As
Models

➢Keep Good Manners
➢Be Cautious When Conversing
➢Telling Stories of Great People
➢Screening Good People Only

➢Never Quarrel Before Them
➢No Violence on Screen
➢No Vulgar Movies
➢No Alcohol, No Smoking

➢Be Democratic
➢Be a Role Model
➢Make Use of Story Telling
➢Make Use of Videos
➢Communicate Well
➢Make Use of Activities
➢Make Use of Dramatization

➢No Partiality
➢No Idleness
➢No Tension Under Pressure
➢No Bad Habits
➢No Easy Going Attitude
