1. WHAT IS VIDEO-BASED LEARNING? Video-based learning means learning experiences facilitated through video. With its ability to combine camera footage, animation, graphics, text, and audio, videos create a multisensory learning experience, unlike any other e-learning format. Because of this, it’s no surprise that video-based learning is quickly becoming a dominant standard of online training. As mentioned earlier, YouTube alone boasts 2 billion users worldwide. That’s approximately a third of the internet. But it’s not just a trend. When it comes to corporate training, research has shown that there are several benefits to opting for video, including improved learner retention rates.

2. REASONS TO USE VIDEO-BASED LEaRNING Instructor-led instruction and independent learning scenarios both benefit from video learning. Video learning is self-paced, which enables students to plan their instruction around their hectic schedules and progress at their own pace. Video also makes micro learning and just-in-time learning possible, both of which have been useful in corporate training. It's simpler to access the performance of your video learning. Video can be scaled easily because it can be accessed by an infinite number of students at any time and from any location.

3. MORE ADVANTAGES OF VIDEO-BASED LEARNING Video-based learning encourages thinking Video encourages multi-sensory learning because they can involve text, moving images and sound. Not only this multi-sensory approach help the learner retain the information better, but it also offers more tools to explain complex concepts. The human brain processes video content much faster than written material. It encourages them to understand the concepts better and think deeply. This also makes video extremely versatile. You can teach everything with video. Video-based learning allows for higher accessibility Not all learners prefer learning on books. Video is a better choice because it can be consumed remotely, at any time, and on any device. This makes video a highly accessible format to anyone, physically or geographically challenged. Moreover, video can also be captioned and translated so viewers can consume the content without sound or in another language. Video-based learning is cost-effective Video can be accessed anytime and anywhere. You do no need to gather your employees at one physical venue to train them. That way you can save a lot of money on account of travel and accommodation of the learners and the facilitators. You just need to make it available online and your employees can use it on demand. Gradually more and more organizations are opting for video-based learning for their employees. Videos not only provide an additional instruction layer but also create a richer learning experience for your employees. This also contributes to the scalability of video-based learning as a format. Video-based learning can be plays over and over again In the traditional form of learning, if you cannot attend a class, then you have to prepare for that topic in your own way. However, with video-based learning, you can access the content an unlimited number of times. It's replayable meaning that the user can go back at their convenience over and over again.

4. Challenges of video-based learning Video-based learning certainly does have its pros. Videos can be paused, watched at a more convenient time, or shared with others who need the same primer or refresher, regardless of geographic location. That said, video-based learning has some serious limitations, too. Here are some biggest challenges in video-based learning that encountered and its solution. Video-based learning lacks instructor feedback The advantage of instructor-led courses is that the learner can interact with the teacher and ask questions, while the teacher can immediately assess the learner's comprehension and remediate where needed. It’s important to have those mechanisms in place for your video-based learning program, as well. Make sure the learners can access Q&As and other additional resources. It’s good practice to add the contact details of an instructor on-call or an in-house expert about the video, so the learner always has a live person to talk to. Video-based learning is for independent learners Video-based learning puts a lot of responsibility on the learner. They need to organize and pace their own learning and make sure they retain the new information and focus on them. This type of learning doesn’t suit everyone. Some learners require more guidance and structure. The use of analytics, quizzes, and other types of assessment, along with the assistance of a dedicated L&D (learning and development) professional can help these students benefit from video-based learning as well.

5. Six main types of learning videos 1. Lecture 2. Screencast 3. Micro 4. Explainer 5. Scenarios/Simulations 6. How-to

6. Why is video -based learning popular with learners? In one sentence, learners particularly enjoy the flexibility, the ability to stir emotions, and the effectiveness of video-based learning.

7. Video-based learning strategy: how to implement it? Video-based learning helps meet their requirements to provide companies with round-the-clock support opportunities as mobile users can access learning sessions from their phones in the lunchroom, airport, at home as in an office environment. Example: You are busy with work and can't come to that class, you will learn through a video about that content. Video-based learning it also has defined playback, users can watch over and over the material reinforcing their own learning experience at their own pace. Example: To really dive into a topic more deeply as often as they want, video learning is a great tool for businesses today because it saves capital time and delivers live content to everyone. . Example: Today businesses have a new tool that allows them to better prepare for the challenges of educating their teams through the power of video learning.

8. Youtube: the perfect solution for video-based learning There are numerous efficient methods of instruction that make it simple for pupils to comprehend, retain, and grasp the lesson. For example, create a video to learn English vocabulary about family First, we need to give materials on the topic for students to research and refer to Give some vocabulary and how to read and give pictures to students to understand and grasp vocabulary faster

Create an exercise game to help students remember the lesson longer G ive questions, good exercises, vocabulary and pictures for them to guess C reate study groups and self-correct each other
