Vital statics is a numerical description of the birth, death, abortion, marriage, divorce and adaptation. ACCORDING TO - U.N.O.

Origin : Vital statistics begin with the study of john graunts in England who studied the weekly bills of mortality and discovered that urban death rate were higher than rural and founded that the male birth are higher than female birth.

Nature of vital statistics: Vital statistic has been used to denotes acts systematically collected and compelled in numerical derived from the vital events. It provides tools for measuring dynamics of change which continuous occurs in population
