Volume of a Cone October 8, 2025
What is VOLUME? The measure of the interior of a space (three-dimensional) figure. A unit for measuring volume is the cubic unit (to the 3rd power.) Simply the amount of space inside a 3D figure.
Mathematical Example of Cone & Cylinder Cone Cylinder
Unlocking some terms Radius – The distance of any point on the circle to the center . Pi – Ratio of the surface of t he circle, usually valued at 3.14 Height – The length of the vertical line from the apex to the base.
Real World Example of Cone & Cylinder
Volume of Cone The Volume of a cone is given by the following formula:
Sample Questions Question 1: Find the volume of a cone, if the radius is 4 cm and height is 9 cm. Question 2: Calculate the volume of a given cone having height 20 cm and base radius of 14 cm. (Take pi = 3.14 )
