Web based learning

Web-based learning consists of technology that supports traditional classroom training and online learning environments.

2. Web based learning Meaning:- Web based learning is one way to learn, using web- based technology or tools in a learning proces . In other words ,learner uses mainly computers to intract with the teacher other students and learning meterial . Web based learning consists of technology that supports traditional classroom training and oline learning environments. Pure web –based courses are wholly based on the communication and learning activities are done online.

3. Web based learning Definition:- Khan (1997) defines web-based instruction 9web) as: “ … ahypermedia -based instructional program which utilizes the attributes and resource of the world wide web to create a meaningful learning is fostered and suppored ”.

4. Types of Web based learning Asynchronous : in asynchronous the education module is to be installed from a particular website and then we can unpack it offline on our machine. In this case there isno mutual interaction of student with teacher. Synchronous : In synchronous types there is synchronization among the students and teacher on-line. This synchronous web based education provides the most emerging concept of E- learning.

5. Need & significance of Web based learning Reasons for the growth of WBI include: Growth of distance education economically 9reliable and inexpensive source) as compared to computer based training , live broadcasts, video tapes, and so on. Enhancing student learning; Spending more time with students working in small groupes or one-on-one; Reducing repatitive teaching tasks; Reducing paper flow and management ,and; Roviding improved instructionsl materials.

6. Web based learning Design Instructional design is a systematic process that instructional designers should follow in order to achieeve the creation of efficient and effective instruction.
