STORY TIME

Let’s here a story The Crow and the Pitcher

In a very hot weather, there was crow thirsty from the heat. The crow found a pitcher with half-full water.

The pitcher had a narrow neck and was tall, so the crow’s beak cannot reach the water. The crow asked “How could I drink the water in this pitcher?”

The crow look around the surrounding and look for anything that could help him in his problem. There were only sticks, woods, and pebbles

An Idea had popped in the crows head! “What if I put pebbles in the pitcher? Maybe it could rise the water up!” So the crow put a some pebbles and saw that the water rose!

So the crow gathered more pebbles to make the water rise from within the pitcher. He put in his mind that putting pebbles in the pitcher will rise the water.

By the end of this work, the crow saw that the water was reachable for his beak to drink water. He concluded that when you put rocks in a pitcher with water, the water will rise from the pitcher.

Seat work!! On a piece of paper, answer the following questions 1. What was the problem that the crow was experiencing? 2. What was the question that the crow asked? 3. What object was used to help the crow in his problem? 4. Did the crow experimented with the water in the pitcher? How? 5. Did the crow get the result he wanted?
