3. During the contemporary period, Philippine arts has continually gone forward. Art has technologically advanced and changed over the period of time. The major advancement of present-day arts in the country simply demonstrates how artistic, advanced, and inventive Filipinos are.

4. The 7 Major Contemporary Art Forms in the Philippines.

5. FILM For films, typical movie industry continued to operate. Independent films or alternative cinema commenced to function. Contemporary films circled on themes like but not limited to the following: comedies, fantasies, action, romance, hard drama or combination thereof. Subjects were daring directly pointing out the unending problems in the government and society. Other films even show scenarios that are sensitive issues but timely.

6. Big movie producers opened doors for international taping and screening. In 2019, the movie Hello, Love Goodbye was released in cinemas and caused the movie reviewers to react whether it is a love story or socio-political observation on the Filipino migration. The said film was set in Hong Kong introducing the life of a pinay nursing graduate who chose to be a domestic helper abroad to back up her family in the Philippines. According to the film management, the film earned P250 million in just five days. Later, it was acknowledged as the highest-grossing Filipino movie of all time- up to this writing

The statue faces the sky with arms widely spread, signifying unselfish submission of oneself to his country

11. LITERATURE Literature is any body or collection of written work. More restrictively, literature refers to writing considered to be an art form or any single writing deemed to have artistic or intellectual value, and sometimes deploys language in ways that differ from ordinary usage.

15. MUSIC OPM covers many sounds and styles but in 2019, ‘ hugot ’ became the central theme of most songs. In the same year, Spotify Philippines revealed that OPM defeated foreign songs on the list of Filipinos’ most streamed tracks.

16. MUSIC The all-male band group December Avenue and Moira Dela Torre‘s “Kung Di Lang Rin Ikaw” (which was later used as the official sound track of the film Hello, Love Goodbye) was noted as the most listened song followed by “Sana” by I Belong to the Zoo and “Kahit Ayaw Mo Na” by This Band.

THEATER For stage arts, The Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) in 2019 launched a campaign “Stage of the Nation” that aims to employ the arts and involve actors to contribute to various discourses that alarm our nation. Several plays were staged by the association centering on current social, political and common issues. In the same year, PETA produced in theaters the " Rak of Aegis" for the seventh time.

Expressways, amusement centers and hotels also began to rise

26. ARCHITECTURE Good examples of early Philippine architecture are the Rizal house in Calamba and Laguna and the Luna house at Badoc , Ilocos Norte. The best Spanish quarters are still in existence in Vigan, Ilocos Sur, and Taal in Batangas. There are also notable old houses in Ilo-ilo , Cebu, and Manila.

Art produced at the present period in time, includes and develops from postmodern art, which is itself a successor to Modern art.  Art made and produced by artist living today. Statement that an artist makes about life, thoughts, ideas, beliefs, and many other things that define human life. Simultaneously reflects the realities and values of our society, its variety portrays the mosaic of our cultural diversity is culture.

30. The Visual arts are art forms such as painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, photography, video, filmmaking, design, crafts, and architecture. Many artistic disciplines such as performing arts, conceptual art, textile arts also involve aspects of visual arts as well as arts of other types.

31. Contemporary art is the art of today, produced by artists who are living in the twenty-first century. Contemporary art of the 21st century may combine elements of performance, painting, sculpture, dance, and many other media. It draws on the movements of modern art, including minimalism and assemblage art, to create dynamic pieces that aim to challenge the viewer and spark thought.

32. Many contemporary artists use the work to comment on cultural and political issues, including race, human rights, economic inequality, and global conflict. As the world continues to change and impact human life on a large scale, art continues to experiment with new ways of reaching its audience.

34. Pre-Colonial Art Period 900 - 1521 622 YEARS Where art was expressed through drawings on the rocks to show their religious symbols either animistic or Islam based. They also expressed their daily activities like fishing, farming and they also put some decorative patterns in wall rocks or wood.

They also brought Art Nouveau style which is an architecture art design prominent to Western Europe.

But commonly, these are primarily visual in nature such as picture (painting, drawing, and printmaking) and sculpture. A picture is two-dimensional image produced by using different media such as ink, oil paint, charcoal and watercolor.
