1. Welcome to Art Please take a seat anywhere. Once class begins, you will be given an assigned seat.

9. The Rules. . .You gotta know em ’

10. This class follows the 10/10 rule* *No passes given during the first 10 minutes or the last minutes of class.

11. Treat others as you would like to be treated.

12. No rude, foul, suggestive, inappropriate language and/or rude language about race, gender, sexuality, or appearance.

13. Participate in the class community by doing your work, helping others, treating materials with respect, and cleaning up all messes (not just yours).

14. Mobile devices are to be used only during approved times. I will never harm your phone (ever). But, I will confiscate it, and your guardian will have to pick it up after school.

15. No talking when Ms. Z. talks to the class. Seriously.

16. No aimless wandering of the classroom.

17. Consequences (don’t let this be you) 1 st time, warning 2 nd time, call home 3 rd time, silent lunch 4 th time, administrative referral

18. A few non-rules to consider

19. How I feel when 300+ students ask me, “What are we doing today?” Check the front board. I have our class agenda and directions printed there.

20. You cannot leave class without a signed agenda You are only permitted 1 pass per week.

21. This class is big. Keep it safe by pushing in your chair.

22. How I feel when you come in tardy and disrupt the class

23. So, don’t be tardy (unless you have a good reason) If you are tardy: C ome in quietly, and sit down.

24. I dismiss you, not the bell

25. Please, don’t make rude faces and/or noises when you look at art. It can hurt people’s feelings. And, you look silly.
