The Compassion
of Jesus
–the inspiration for all
Master Guides
“Filled with
compassion, Jesus
reached out his
hand and touched
the man.”Mark 1:41
Love and
Compassion of a
Master Guide
That characterize effective
Master Guide leadership
That help make a positive,
life-long difference in the life
of the child or youth whom
the Master Guide is working
with
These are the two
important qualities:
Master Guides
-Look Around You!
You will discover youth
in your life who are
around you, needing the
healing touch of:
Encouragement
Recognition
Security
Hope
The Power of a
Master Guide’s Touch
Your touch has the
power to transform
their lives.
When you reach out
to them by believing
in them, trusting
them, accepting them
and working with
them, they will live up
to their potential
John 21:15 Jesus said to us, “Feed my
lambs”
John 21:16 Jesus said to us, “Tend My
sheep”
John 21:17 Jesus said to us, “Feed my
sheep”
The children of today need our
guidance for the road ahead of
them often seems so confusing
and they feel lost
Master Guides –
this is your
calling!
The youths of
today need to
know the way
to heaven
Master
Guides –this
is your vision!
The children and youths of today need
to be taught useful and practical skills
that will steer them away from evil
influences and wrong company
Master
Guides –
this is your
task!
I rather see a sermon
Than hear one any day
I rather have you walked
with me
Than merely point the way
The eye is a more ready
pupil
Than ever was the ear
Good advice is often
confusing
But good example is
always clear
The youths of today need to
be taught by deed and
example or they will land up
going the wrong road
Master Guides
–this is the
kind of life you
must live!

THE MASTER GUIDE CODE
Salvation and Service
By the grace of Almighty God, I will wear the insignias of my office as a Master
Guide with dignity, humility and a deep sense of duty to God and humanity. I will
strive to excel in my service and devotion to God in all the vocations I may be
called upon to be in. I will endeavor to:
Work diligently for the salvation of youths wherever I may be.
Instruct youths of God’s plan for their lives found in the Bible.
Provide leadership and guidance to youths whenever the situation demands it.
Exemplify the life taught by Jesus which alone will bring peace and happiness.
Serve faithfully in all areas of responsibility entrusted to me in the church.
Invest my time and energy in nurturing the lives of the youths.
Research new and viable methodology to reach out to the youths of today.
Encourage youths to dedicate their lives for the service of the Master.
May God help me as I pledge by His power to discharge the duties and obligations
of a Master Guide now and forever more. Amen.
