Sharing Problem Solving Working with others Encourages expression and creative skills What is the Play – Way Method Play is one of the best ways in which children learn and develop It helps to nurture imagination and gives a child the sense of adventure Through play, they can  learn:

Play-Way Method VS Play Therapy Play-Way Method Play Therapy No specific model or structure, the child is asked to play with the given medium to work on their concerns Systematic use of a theoretical model to establish a play technique and work towards a specific concern No trained therapist, however a facilitator is required A trained therapist is needed to help the client resolve their difficulties The play materials can be of any medium They have defined set of materials

Benefits of Play 01 An effective medium for imparting value education 03 Enhances creativity 04 Better communication, vocabulary and language 02 Faster learning and better memory

Benefits of Play 05 Greater impulse control and emotion regulation 07 Social competence, empathetic and happier 08 Holistic Development of the child 06 Prepares them for getting adjusted to their environment and life

Activity We will divide you into teams Every team would be  performing 4 tasks one by one ( as given in the instructions)  After solving each game you have to call the quiz master to check whether you have the right answer For every right answer, you would be rewarded with one word. In case the answer is wrong, you have to repeat the task Following this procedure, you will be getting 4 words in total from the correct performance of the four tasks.  All the four words would be denoting a theme and you have to identify it after getting all the four answers and thereby the solution has to be informed to the quiz master.  The team completing the tasks first and finding out the right solution is the winner.

Play Way Activities Tap Step By Step Instruction Following Discipline Impulse Control Time Management Creativity Imagination Problem Solving Lets Discuss Inductive Reasoning

A single play medium( Eg . Beads) can be used in dealing with more than one concern( Eg . ADHD, ASD, SLD). Similarly, one concern ( Eg . ADHD) can be dealt with more than one play medium ( Eg . Beads, Play Dough, etc )

Double Doodle Double doodle art is fun, relaxing, and a great way to exercise the brain as it uses both sides of the brain simultaneously. It stimulates the brain and creates readiness for any new learning.

1 It is a drawing made using both hands. 2 You can do it in the air , on paper, or even on someone else’s back ( it’s calming, relaxing , and comforting!) There are many kinds of Double Doodle exercises, but most of them are created by drawing a symmetrical design, with the hands mirroring each other side by side. 3

Double Doodle Activity Let’s begin doodling in the air Now, you’ll draw simultaneously using both the hands and colour pens, creating symmetrical, mirror image drawings Select a partner and r epeat this activity on his/her back
