INTRODUCTION William Shakespeare Birth-26 April 1564 Born Place- Strat -ford-upon-Avon Married-Anne Hathway (1582) Died-23 April,1616 At the age of 52 years.

EARLY LIFE WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE was an English poet He was the Father of English Drama. He was the world greatest dramatist. He was the son of JOHN SHAKESPEARE and married the 26-year old Anne Hathaway in 27 Nov.1582. He is often called England's national poet and “Bard of Avon”.

WORKS OF LITERATURE He wrote mostly comedies, histories after 1600,he wrote of his tragedies. He wrote 38 very successful plays and 154 sonnets and several other poems. His plays have been translated into every major living language and are performed more often those of any other playwright.
