Empowerment of women would mean encouraging women to be self reliant, independent, have positive, self- esteem, generate confidence to face any difficult situation and incite active participation in various socio-political development

Women empowerment is very necessary to make the bright future of the family, society and country. Women empowerment also reduce poverty.

Women's Empowerment Year? The Government of India declared 2001 as the Year of Women's Empowerment ( Swashakti ). The National Policy For The Empowerment Of Women came was passed in 2001.

Women education solve lots of social issues as well as bring growth and development of the nation on right tract. According to recent reports, the Nepal Living Standards Survey 2010-2011 (NLSS- III) has found out that Nepal has an adult literacy rate of 56.6% with a huge variation between men and women . While male literacy rate is 71.6%, it is only 44.5% for women .

Bring awareness in the society about the true rights and value of the women in the development of the nation.

According to the National Crime Records Bureau of India, reported incidents of crime against women increased 6.4% during 2012, and a crime against a woman is committed every three minutes. In 2012, there were 244,270 reported incidents of crime against women, while in 2011, there were 228,650 reported incidents.

International Women's Day ( IWD ) is celebrated on March 8 every year. It is a focal point in the movement for women's rights . After the Socialist Party of America organised a Women's Day on February 28, 1909 in New York , the 1910 International Socialist Woman's Conference suggested a Women's Day be held annually.
