What is World Water Day? World Water day is a day for people to show support and appreciate the fresh water (Non salty water) which is only 1% of the world water

When it is celebrated? World Water Day is an annual event celebrated on March 22. In 1993, the first World Water Day was designated by the  United Nations General Assembly  and since, each year focuses on a different issue.

Annual theme Each year, World Water Day is celebrated to show the importance of water on the globe, and each year there is an annual theme . 2016 : Water and Jobs: (" Better water, better jobs") - This theme shows the link between water and jobs created either directly or indirectly by water sources on the globe.

As water scarcity increase around the globe, industries heavily dependent on water textiles and agriculture are at risk of increased costs, which can then get passed to the consumer. So we need to solve that problem as fast as possible because many people job depends on water.

Why it is important? Creating awareness about drinking pure water The occasion of World Water Day is also used to highlight required improvements for access to  WASH  (water, sanitation, hygiene) facilities in  developing countries

Water day in Bangladesh Water Day is observed at district and divisional levels every year. A seminar also held at the press club Dhaka highlighting this year's theme "Water and Jobs ". So many speaker attend that program

Water Day around the world UN secretary also gave speech on this day. So many program held around the world on this day . Such as theatrical and musical celebrations, educational events, and campaigns to raise money for access to clean and affordable water.
