Introduction Since the beginning of the decade of 2010, the accumulation of waste has become one of the problems faced by the people of Indonesia. Waste that is not properly managed and disposed of is piling up, causing environmental pollution and natural disasters such as floods and landslides. Argumentation According to the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) of the Republic of Indonesia, 18.3 million tonnes of waste will be dumped in Indonesia every year until 2023. This will make Indonesia the fifth largest waste producer in the world. It is not without reason that this dumping is taking place, as there is a lack of good and proper waste management in Indonesia. In addition, there are still many Indonesians who are undisciplined when it comes to environmental cleanliness. There are still many people who litter or cut down forests and trees illegally. Therefore, the best solution to overcome the problem of waste accumulation is to establish strict regulations and laws related to waste management, as well as strict sanctions for people who violate these laws and regulations. Conclusion It is not too late for us to start a cleaner and healthier habit by managing our waste properly. In this way, the accumulation of waste in Indonesia will no longer happen.
