What is youth The time period of your life when you are young and state of being young. the period between childhood and adult age. Others words for Youth include: teenagers adolescents Youth  is an experience that may shape an individual's level of dependency, which can be marked in various ways according to different cultural perspectives .

Definition of youth The definition of a youth is a young person who has not yet reached adulthood and refers to the time period before you become an adult . Conti… Youth is generally the time of life between childhood and adulthood. Definitions of the specific age range that constitutes youth vary. An individual's actual maturity may not correspond to their chronological age, as immature individuals can exist at all ages. Youth is also defined as "the appearance, freshness, vigor, spirit, etc., characteristic of one who is young". Youth is a term used for people of both sexes, male and female, of a young age The part of life following childhood; the period of existence preceding maturity or age; the whole early part of life, from childhood, or, sometimes, from infancy, to manhood .

Many of them have the stature of men and the attitude of boys; they have the bodies of women but the idea of girls. At times, they are running when they suppose to walk. Characteristics of youth Many definitions of youth have been offered, but they are not adequate, because youth is a complex interaction of physical, mental, emotional and social factors that affect the entire personality. There are general characteristics that run through all the categories of youth- early, middle or late adolescence.

The following are a few characteristics of an effective adult in youth-adult partnerships: Willing to learn Have group facilitation skills Patient and flexible Have the ability to encourage and motivate others Have an open mind and willing to learn from a youth Have good verbal communication Have good listening skills Relate well to youth Be a good role model

The  role  of the  youth  is simply to renew, refresh and maintain.  Youth  have a  role  to renew and refresh the current status of our society including leadership, innovations, skills etc.  Youth  are expected to advance the current technology, education, politics, peace of the country. Youth  service  organizations  exist to promote social change through providing opportunities for  youth  to give their time and talent to improve their communities and the world .

Encourage the learning activities involving the community. Provide the opportunities for self expression. Encourage the coeducational learning experiences and working together on projects
