Promote positive communication & support peers struggeling with mental health challenges.

MENTAL HEALTH It is the state of a person’s emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It influences how we think, feel, and act, how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices in life. Good mental health helps people cope with challenges, work productively, and contribute to their communities, while poor mental health can affect mood, behavior, and relationships. It is shaped by factors such as genetics, life experiences, and environment, and maintaining it involves self-care, positive relationships, and seeking professional help when needed.

Go for a walk, garden, or simply sit outside to help reduce stress. Aim for a consistent sleep schedule to improve mood and mental resilience. Good nutrition can support your physical and mental health, and deficiencies in certain nutrients may contribute to mental health issues

SOCIAL & EMOTIONAL SUPPORT TALK TO OTHERS PRACTICE SELF- COMPASSION CONNECT WITH THE COMMUNITY BUILD BOUNDARIES Confide in trusted friends, family, or a support group. Be kind to yourself and avoid negative self-talk. Volunteer or join a group that shares your interests. Establish healthy boundaries in your relationships to protect your well-being.

EFFECTS OF MENTAL HEALTH IN OUR DAILY LIVES

Mental health contributes significantly to the way we feel, think, and behave daily. It influences How we cope with stress, interact with other people, and make decisions. Positive mental health enables us to live well, maintain good relationships, and be productive in school or at work. But poor mental health can create issues like inability to focus, lethargy, irritability, or loss of motivation. It can also result in emotional difficulty in managing emotions, leading to anxiety, depression, or social withdrawal. When the mind is not alright, even small things seem difficult to accomplish. Mental health impacts physical health ; stress & negative emotions can result in headaches, sleep disturbances, & weakened immunity. Taking care of our minds is a vital as taking care of our bodies.
