economic, and social impacts of climate change.

●To analyse the severity of these impacts in
different parts of the world (HICs vs LICs).

●To evaluate which impacts are the most significant
and why.

Title: Negative effects of Climate Change

Starter Activity Write down as many impacts as possible

Impacts of Climate Change We can break down the impacts into three groups
Environmental

Social
.
.
.

Task: You will be assigned one impact (e.g., sea level rise, drought, loss of biodiversity, impact on food supply,
health risks, or extreme weather events).

In pairs you will prepare a 5-minute presentation covering:
●What is the impact? (Define it)

●Where is it happening? (Include a real-world example – HIC or LIC)

●Who is affected? (Groups, countries, or ecosystems)

●What are the short-term and long-term consequences?

●Why does this impact matter globally?

You must create 3–4 slides (visuals, maps, statistics encouraged).
All group members must speak for part of the 5 minutes.
Students will make notes on the handout.
